About Us

We are Imelda McDonald and Tony Moores. We are dedicated to producing quality Labrador Retrievers for both pet and show homes. We are located in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland. We train our dogs for Conformation and Obedience.

We do our utmost to produce quality puppies that are healthy, of sound temperament, and conform to the Canadian Kennel Club breed standard, http://www.ckc.ca/en/Portals/0/pdf/breeds/RTL.pdf. Our dogs have been carefully selected from champion bloodlines with hip, elbow, and eye clearances to ensure structure and soundness that meets the breed standard. All of our labs have the wonderful, loving temperament that the breed is legendary for.

We love our dogs and all are very important members of our family. They live in our home and experience a wonderful quality of life. Our dogs enjoy regular walks in the woods, on the trails and lots of swimming. They are our pets and treated as part of our family.

Our dogs are active in the community, acting as official Welcome Ambassadors for the St. John’s Department of Tourism. They regularly welcome cruise ships and participate in opening ceremonies for prestigious events such as the Scott Tournament of Hearts, national soccer tournaments, and more.

As hobby breeders we produce no more than a couple litters per year. Our puppies are raised in our home from birth to the time they leave for their new homes, and receive hours of daily attention. All puppies are well socialized with other dogs, children, adults and a variety of new environments before going to their new homes. All puppies are de-wormed, microchipped, CKC registered, well socialized, vaccinated, and all have written health guarantees.

All dogs we breed have appropriate health clearances including hip, elbow, and eye clearances. We are members in good standing of the Canadian Kennel Club, The Newfoundland (all breed) Kennel Club, The Conception Bay Kennel Club, Labrador Retriever Club of Canada (LRCC), the Labrador Owners Club, and the Atlantic Labrador Retriever (ALRC) Club.

We welcome and encourage any questions that potential new owners might have regardless of where future owners consider getting their new puppy. Research and knowledge are very important to ensure a future puppy is what you want him/her to be! We also stay in touch with and answer any questions that buyers of our puppies may have in the future.

We would like to Thank Wade and Shona Sutton of Onarock Labradors for all their advice, guidance, help and friendship through the years. They have been wonderful mentors for us with this breed and we will always be grateful for their friendship.
